Terms of use
These terms cover the Duely Mac app, website account, and subscriptions, and are an agreement between you and Duely, Inc., a Delaware corporation. Where these terms say “the operator,” they mean Duely, Inc.
1. What this is
Duely helps students work with their assignments and school tools. Paid subscriptions are available as described on the pricing page and at checkout. The Mac app is available to download from duely.app; a subscription provides AI usage inside the app, so it is only useful once you have the app. The software remains under development and is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.
2. Your account
One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in.
3. Outgoing actions
Duely does not submit coursework, post, or send on its own. Consequential actions require your explicit per-action approval, and no submission tools run without that step. What you do with prepared work is yours.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use Duely to violate laws, to access accounts that are not yours or systems you are not permitted to use, or to harass people. The browser tools operate under per-site approvals you grant; using them against sites’ terms is on you.
5. Model output
Model-produced content can be wrong. Duely marks provenance—what came from a model and what came from your material—so you can judge it. Read before you rely on it. Every extracted deadline carries the quote it rests on; check the quote.
6. Costs and limits
Duely Free includes limited, one-time AI usage. Unused free usage does not carry into a paid plan. Duely Plus is for everyday coursework; Duely Pro includes 5× the AI usage of Plus and early access to new features as they become available. Your full monthly usage is available up front and resets on the date shown in your account. Unused monthly usage does not carry forward. If your reset date does not occur in a month, the reset falls on that month’s last day. Usage already consumed remains counted when changing plans. During the pilot, contact support@duely.app to switch to Plus at your next renewal. AI usage depends on the task and model, so a plan does not promise a fixed number of messages or completed assignments. Usage has no cash value and cannot be transferred.
Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically at the interval and price shown at checkout until cancelled. Duely Plus is $20 monthly, $120 every six months, or $240 yearly. Duely Pro is $100 monthly, $600 every six months, or $1,200 yearly. AI usage resets monthly on every billing option. Existing semester subscriptions keep the billing interval shown in their account. Prices are in US dollars and any applicable tax is shown at checkout. Manage payment details and cancel future renewals from your account page. Cancelling a subscription keeps your Duely account. Deleting your account also cancels its active subscriptions. Contact support@duely.app for billing help.
AI usage is bounded by your account’s allowance: the one-time free usage, or your plan’s monthly usage. A single run has no separate token or dollar limit, though Duely stops a run that is stuck repeating itself or has gone far beyond any real assignment. The service also limits how many runs can work at once and how quickly requests arrive. When you reach your monthly usage limit, additional AI work waits for the next reset. Saved work remains yours. The operator may pause agent runs or disable models for service or safety reasons; you’ll see a message explaining what happened.
7. Termination
Either of us can end this at any time. You can delete your account in the app; the operator may suspend accounts that break these terms. Local data on your Mac remains yours in every case.
8. Changes
These terms may change. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect.
